It’s fashion Friday - Yay! It’s time for another installment of our newest series “Showcase Your Style”, where I hand the blog over to some of Daydream Believers’ BEST clients! These girls (and their mummas!) have curated enviable collections of Daydream Believers wear, and they were sweet enough to open up their closets and give y’all a peek!

Today’s guest is extra-special to me; she is my darling niece and God Daughter who has (literally) worn Daydream Believers since the day she was born. My sister was sweet enough to sort through (hundreds?) of photos of Lia in Daydream Believers and gathered up a few of her favorites to share with y’all today. Enjoy!

It’s fashion Friday - Yay! This week I’m kicking off a new series where I hand the blog over to some of Daydream Belivers’ BEST clients! These girls (and their mummas!) have curated enviable collections of Daydream Believers wear, and they were sweet enough to open up their closets and give y’all a peek! I am all smiles reading the beautiful letters that these ladies wrote and swooning over all the GORGEOUS photos of their sweet girls in Daydream Believers! THE PERFECT TEN TOP: BLOG TOUR

Today is my day on The Perfect Ten blog tour for Little Lizard King and I am so excited to introduce y’all to this awesome pattern! I have sewn quite a few knit tops in my time, and The Perfect Ten is definitely a must have pattern for anyone who sews for girls.


The pattern is well written and easy to follow. Not only is the actual construction SO easy and SO fast, but the pattern is LOADED with options that will give you dozens of different looks.  With sizes ranging from 12m through size 14, and sleeve lengths for all seasons; this is sure to be a go to pattern!

My favorite thing about sewing for my kids is that it enables me to create unique pieces to perfectly suit their personal styles.  As soon as I spotted this fun rainbow-houndstooth knit, I knew I had to have it for Iyla.  I made her this chic-everyday top using the Perfect Ten Pattern; long sleeve version with hem band, peter pan collar and button tab embellishments.


For the blog tour, I decided to make an upcycled top.  My Dad is always encouraging me to create by giving me clothes to upcycle, soft wool sweaters to scrap, tops with cool buttons; it’s really sweet. This Lions tee was one of his own, and I knew when he gave it to me that I wanted to turn it into a top for Iyla.  Sweet girl LOVES her Papa, LOVES watching football, and LOVES cheering on the Lions!

I created this top by cutting the front and back bodice pieces from the pattern so that the front image stayed intact. I personalized the piece for Iyla by adding silver glitter trim to the neckline and pairing the tee with a fun striped knit for the 3/4 sleeves and crisp white knit for the trim. My girl adores this special top! I love patterns that are quick to sew and allow me to add my own flair. The Perfect Ten is exactly that!

Style File Friday-The Eloise Swing Skirt

Today’s style file feature is all about my favorite new skirt, Eloise!

“Eloise” is a playful, 50's inspired swing skirt with a flat front, curved waistband. This timeless style can be worn year round. I love the way my client Emma (and her mom) styled this look with a fun tee and big ol’ bow. Emma’s outfit is perfect for Valentines Day and long after! Thanks for the wonderful photos, Jes!
