Celebrating First Communion

Yesterday was such a special day for our family; Iyla received her First Holy Communion. To watch her grow in her faith and really understand the practices of our church is such a joy. I pray that she always feels the peace of Jesus and the light of his love. I hope that she continues to grow in grace with the confidence, joy, and excitement that she felt as we prepared for this special milestone. Watching my sweet girl let Jesus into her heart in this special way was a very proud moment for this mumma!

Earlier this year, Craig and I were encouraged to keep the focus of the day on the sacrament. While we both love a festive party; this advice really resonated with us. Receiving her first Eucharist was a special spiritual milestone for Iyla. I’m grateful that we were able to honor the significance of the sacrament in ways that were meaningful to her. This special day will be a treasured memory, I’m sure.

Mint Gold and Lace Brother Sister Outfits

Is there anything sweeter than kids all dressed up for Easter? I just love the tradition of purchasing (or making) new outfits for the holidays. This set is headed to a sweet client but I have to tell you; I LOVE this fabric SO much, I *almost* kept this one for my girls! (Just Kidding! Kinda)

Big Sister’s Easter Dress features a full twirl skirt, sweet flutter sleeves, and a gorgeous lace embellished bodice. But lets just talk about that fabric! OH, that fabric! Soft mint green accented with gold glitz dots - SWOON! Seriously, this BEA style dress is SO lovely in person I wish I had better pictures to share, but I was so excited to send it off to it’s lucky owner, I just snapped a few and packaged it right up.
